We are using ECC6 and we have been live with SAP since 2007. I have Stock

purchase requisitions in the system that show that they were created in 1992 long

before we started using SAP.

Our Requisitioner tried deleting them and marking them as closed but she gets an

error message that 'Material xxx does not exist or is not activated'.

I checked all the material tables, (MARA, MARC, etc) and the material does not exist. Ialso checked MM19 at the requisition date and I get the same error.

Please assist on how I can clear these PRs from our system.

Hi,

Did you get the same problem when trying to block your PR via ME52 transaction?

You have have to delete them from the table directly which is something that SAP

normally recommend against but I'm assuming that these were copied from a previous

SAP instance because if the materials did exist at some point you should not have

been allowed to delete/archive them if there were open items against them.

The other solution would be to create the materials again with minimal views such asbasic and purchasing views then delete the requisitions and flag the materials for

deletion.
