Lemonade Logic Solution Max can fill the 3-gallon jug with lemonade, and then pour that

lemonade into the 5-gallon jug.

Then he can fill the 3-gallon jug from the 8-gallon jug again, and pour that lemonade into the 5-gallon jug until it is full.

Next, he must pour the lemonade from the 5-gallon jug back into the 8-gallon jug.

Then he can pour the lemonade from the 3-gallon jug into the 5-gallon jug.

Finally, he fills up the 3-gallon jug from the 8-gallon jug again. He will then have exactly four gallons of lemonade left in the 8-gallon jug.
