WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY(JUNE 5,2013)

SCRAP BOOK-ONE PAGE ACTIVITY: Make a collage by pasting pictures of

all things /activities that make the Environment „CLEAN & GREEN‟ (for

e.g. CNG vehicles, planting trees, car pool etc.)

SAVE ELECTRICITY: Every Sunday enjoy candle light dinner with your

family.

Switch off lights, fans, A.C etc while leaving the room.

Use CFLs instead of tubelights.

SAVE WATER AND ENERGY: Help your parents for watering plant,

cleaning cars etc. Cut and paste all articles /events/actions which cause

water and power shortage from the paper and paste it in your scrap book.

Turn off the taps while not in use, brushing etc.

Get the leaking taps and pipes repaired.

Use bucket and mug to take bath instead of shower and to wash

your vehicles and watering plants too.

Use leftover water, after washing clothes, for cleaning purposes.

SAY NO TO PLASTIC BAGS: Prepare your own paper / cloth bag using

material available at your home.

WORLD OCEAN DAY(JUNE 8,2013)

Make a collage of different water animals /

plants and decorate it nicely.

FATHER‟S DAY(JUNE 16,2013):

CELEBRATING FATHER‟S DAY ; Surprise your father by giving him a

handmade gift ( prepared by you).

Plan an outing to spend this special day with your family. ( movie , picnic ,

mall)

Arrange his favourite breakfast for him.

RECREATION TIME: Hobbies provide a sense of personal accomplishment

and enhances self-esteem. There are innumerable hobbies such as drawing & painting,

art &craft, public speaking, dancing etc. You can pursue any hobby of your choice.

NEWSPAPER HUNT: Become smart and aware children. Read headlines of

any newspaper daily.

CHECKLIST OF GOOD VALUES: During bedtime share at least 2 good things

that you did during the day with your parents. It could be any of the following

things or more:

Wishing every one (good morning/good night)

Being a help(getting a glass of water etc)

Speaking kind words to everyone

Participating in family prayers.

Learn to be self dependent. Try to make your own bed, learn to wear

clothes yourself and tie your shoe laces.

ROLE –PLAY FUN: Role plays helps in building the social and emotional skills

in you. You will also learn to be imaginative and creative through role-play.

MATERIAL REQUIRED: Old dupattas, bindis, bangles, caps, coats, belts

etc.

METHOD: Try to enact in following various situations and prepare a role-

play for the class:

a) Going for a wedding b) Visit to the dentist c) Organizing a

birthday party d) handling a class as a teacher etc.

HOLIDAY FUN: Summer vacation is the perfect time to have a perfect fun

with family. Make a list of all the things that you would need during your

picnic and pack them in your bag. Don‟t forget to click photographs of your

picnic. Make your very own photo album by pasting photographs of your

trip.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

a) Make a visit to Zoo, Rail museum, Nehru planetarium, Akshardham temple,

Dolls museum etc in vacations.

b) Practice to converse in English with your parents.
