Mathletics  Parent  information    Mathletics  is  a  fun  interactive  Maths  program  that  is  directly  linked  to  the  curriculum.  It  is  proven  to  improve  students’  skills  and  results.    Here  are  some  ideas  to  help  your  child  get  the  most  out  of  Mathletics.      Encourage  your  child  to:  

• Log  on  independently.  • Click  on  the  ‘question’    (if  they  are  unable  to  read  the  question)  and  a  recording  

will  repeat  the  question.  • Use  the  ‘question  mark’  on  the  left  for  further  information  if  they  are  unsure  of  

what  do.  • Review  mistakes  by  clicking  on  them  and  working  out  where  they  went  wrong.  • Redo  activities  where  they  got  a  red  or  blue  rating  and  ‘Go  for  gold!’  

   

        Click  on  the  red  or  blue  circle  to  see  where  your  child  needs  revision.    Please  do  not  do  their  work  for  them.  Mathletics  is  a  learning  tool  and  NOT  just  something  to  do  and  tick  off.    We  are  running  a  SCAS  Mathletics  Summer  Challenge  over  the  holidays.  Please  see  the  poster  for  further  details.    Mathletics  is  available  for  you  to  use  over  the  holidays,  so  please  encourage  your  child  to  continue  their  learning.    This  is  a  wonderful  opportunity  to  prevent  the  summer  slide  (decline)  and  consolidate  skills  for  next  year.      Mrs  Jaana  Gray
