The idea behind introducing the concept of Mathematics laboratories is to try and make the curriculum of the subject more meaningful. students explore, verify, generalize, and apply results to other problems.

Earlier the students use to hesitate in asking the question and now after exploring the concepts and visualizing them ,they are able to reason their queries while discussions in the classroom.

The room is organized with stations of activities where children can work simultaneously on different materials or same material.

The room is rich in materials, making use of commercials, teacher made or pupil made devices.

The organization of the lab work is flexible so that a child may move from one activity to another, depending upon his interest and needs.

There is a multimedia approach for learning : using tapes, films .

Textbooks and pamphlets are used as pupil reference material. They are usually upgraded and include a large variety of topics.
