At MAUSER, one success has followed the next – for more than 110 years. Our top priority has always been seeking advantages for our customers.

Our company was founded in 1896 by Dr. Alfons Mauser

in Southern Germany’s Black Forest. Due to the demands

of industrialization, the company soon moved to Cologne,

where it presented its fi rst revolutionary packaging

solution for the chemical industry: iron baskets designed

to protect the glass carboys used to transport dyes and

acids. They were an immediate success because they

signifi cantly reduced transport damage.

Since then, MAUSER’s history contains a seamless

succession of innovations, patents and awards. Likewise,

we have continually succeeded in setting new industry

standards, and we are now one of the world’s recognized

brands – one that is continuing to expand globally.

A broad range of high-quality plastic packaging that meets international standards and regional regula-tions. From small to large: they are always designed and manufactured for excellent handling of the great-est variety of substances.

Many industries must deal with dangerous or sensitive

goods. The use of plastic for industrial packaging of such

materials has resulted in containers that are easier and

cleaner to fi ll, transport, supply and store.

In the 1950s, we were among the fi rst companies to set

milestones in developing and testing high-quality PE

packaging concepts. From the fi rst full plastic can to

large-size drums, MAUSER pioneered plastic packaging

designs. These designs still represent industry standards

Today’s steel drums, however, no longer resemble those

used by our fathers and grandfathers. MAUSER’s inno-

vations in steel drums are only one of its outstanding

achievements. We have also launched continual innova-

tions and improvements in the area of metal packaging.

We were pioneers, for example, in the development of the

triple seam and the W-shaped rolling hoop. This allowed

us to optimize hazard-prevention as well as to increase

cost-effectiveness.

�Steel drums are the most important and safest

packaging for transporting dangerous goods. Each

year, nearly 50 million tons of goods travel the world

in steel drums.

�MAUSER’s broad product range and successful

product lines give you a choice of numerous models

�MAUSER steel drums are standard packaging

for worldwide use. They comply with ISO 15750,

parts 1-3.

�Above all our steel drums are environmentally friendly,

with plastic plugs, they are a safe solution for trans-

porting and storing fl ammable products.

�Container-compliant measurements lead to optimal

space utilization, which ensure economy and effi cien-

cy. All MAUSER steel drum models are palletizable

�Different inside coating systems based on epoxy,

phenol or epoxy-phenol are applied. Numerous types

of outside color and decoration are available, e.g.

spray-painted fi nishes with offset printing or silk
