STRUCTURE CONCEPT:

MAXXMILL 500

EXCEEDINGLY ROBUST TRAVELLING COLUMN DESIGN

All components made out of cast iron and fabricated steel


MACHINE DESCRIPTION: The MAXXMILL 500 is the ideal vertical milling center for 5-side operation on parts with small or medium amount of production numbers. It is the perfect machine for job shops, industrial businesses (automobile vendors), general mechanical engineering companies and also for advanced education facilities. The new MAXXMILL 500 is capable to mill parts with an edge size of 500 x 500 x 500 mm on 5 sides. The rotary axis can be used for positioning respectively one rotary axis can be interpolated with maximum 2 linear axis. Spindles: The spindles characteristics is the high drive performance. The basic machine for 10.000 rpm consists of a mechanical spindle. With the option 15.000 rpm the machine gets an electro spindle. Axis: The axis are made with linear ball guides of 35mm in Y- and Z-axis and 45mm in the X-axis. The ball screws are ISO class 3 and are ground to a diameter of 40mm. The pitch is 20mm. The axis acceleration is up to 0,3g (3m/s²). Tool Changer: The Tool Changer is a fast double-changing-arm with directional logic and random tool selection. This way the tool change time is reduced immensely. Covers: The working area is closed around the machine but open to the top. The machine door is dimensioned largely to allow an easy loading of the machine.
