Heads up on all the games as shown on the schedule to the left. The Athletic Director could easily have them off and it will be more important to go by what the coaches are telling the players and families.

Sorry about any confusion, with the AD gone two or three days each week, out of town, and the need to make up the games that got rained out or work around the players schedules because they are also on other teams it can be overwhelming.

Swiminators—CAA Finals

Transfiguration is part of a six school partnership that makes up the Swiminators swim team. The Swiminators placed their best ever season ending CAA Finals on April 5th and 6th as follows: 1. Boys, K-6 Junior Division (4th out of 20 teams with 410 points) 2. Girls, K-6 Junior Division (tied for 8th out of 19 teams with 228 points) 3. Girls, 7-8 Senior Division (14th with 43 points)

April 5th Boys CAA Finals results The Swiminators meet began with an upset over Nativity in the 3-4 100 yard Medley Relay. Our boys were seeded 2nd but swam like champs edging Nativity by just under a second. Amazing effort. 40 points to the Swiminators.

Transfiguration 5th grader Sean V was up next swimming anchor (freestyle) in the 5-6 100 yard Medley Relay and scooping

up 6th place for 26 points.

2nd grader Noah V then took 7th in the highly competitive K-2 25 yard Freestyle to add 12 more points.

3rd graders Dane D and Jack K then delivered a one-two performance in the 3-4 25 butterfly adding 37 more points. Great

effort boys!

Noah V then placed 3rd in the K-2 25 yard backstroke! This is Noah’s first year of swimming! 16 more points to the Swimi-

nators!

Sean V then added 6 more points with an 11th place finish in the 5-6 25 yard backstroke.

4th grader Chris W then edged a number one seeded All Saints swimmer for a 1st place finish in the Boys 3-4 50 free. 20

more points.

Chris followed that up with a 4th place finish in the Boys 3-4 50 backstroke for 15 more points.

Sean then took to the block again adding 4 more points with a 13th place finish in the 50 backstroke.

Jack then scooped up 15 more points in the 100 IM with a 4th place finish.

Noah then anchored the Boys K-2 100 Free Relay for a 7th place finish and 24 more points.

Dane then scooped up 20 more points by shocking a heavily favored 4th grade Nativity 50 breaststroke competitor to win

the 3-4 50 breaststroke.

Swiminators Continued

5th grader Jacob L wrapped up our evening with an exhibition relay swimming anchor in the 200 freestyle relay.

The boys picked up a wonderful CAA Finals trophy for their 4th place finish! All 6 of our boys representing Transfiguration

swam at the CAA Finals contributing 46% of the total team points! Third grader Dane D was, for the 3rd year in a row, the

Swiminators top point’s scorer.

Swiminators Continued April 6th Girls CAA Finals results The Swiminators began the meet with two teams in the Girls 7-8 200 yard Medley Relay. Transfiguration 5th grader Valery H and 8th grader Hannah S swam third leg (butterfly) and anchor (freestyle), respective-ly, in an exhibition race and 8th grader Samantha B led off her relay team in the backstroke to take 10th and grab our first 10 points of the evening. Next up, Samantha B swam the Girls 7-8 50 Free placing 16th grabbing 1 more point. Samantha took to the block again for an 11th place finish in the Girls 7-8 50 yard backstroke fetching another 6 points. 4th grader Danielle W followed that up with a 9th place finish in the 3-4 100 yard Free Relay for 18 more points. 5th grader Valery H then swam an impressive 50 butterfly in a highly competitive race to grab 7th place and 12 points. She quickly got back into the pool to grab 15th (and 2 more points) in the 100 yard freestyle.

All in all, a fabulous year for the Transfiguration swimmers! The event details listed above only reflect the events Trans-figuration swimmers participated in, not the entire Swiminators team.

One swimmer was nominated by the coaching staff and won the top end of year award for Swimmer of the Year, 8 th grad-

er Samantha B. Way to Go!! Samantha earned that honor by exemplifying great sportsmanship and leadership for the

team.

Congratulations to all of our Swimmers for an outstanding year!

Throughout the season all the swimmers improved their times and swam with a lot of heart. All the kids deserve a round of ap-plause for their exemplary efforts. Special thank you to our outgoing 8th graders, Hannah S and Samantha B, and hope to see the rest of you in the pool next year!

This is it, the CAA Finals are on Saturday at STA. Meet begins about 8:45 am and everything should be wrapped up around 1:30 to 2pm. Good Luck to our Tiger team. A great group of students who have trained hard and competed against some tough teams during the regular season.

Lacrosse News

The team had two games this past week. On 04/30 they played at home against Irondale and lost 4—1.

Then on 05/04 they played BSM on our field and came away with an 12—1 win.

We didn’t find a compatible date to make up the game with STA here, so we will only be playing once this season.

The team will play two games in the next week, the 9th at STA and the 11th here against Blake. The final two

games will be on 05/16 at home against Breck and on 05/19 at Blake.

The Lady Tigers continue to be strong this season.

On Tues, April 26th, the Tigers took on the Nativity Blue team in St. Paul. The Tigers took the lead early with solid

pitching from Matty and Alexa, along with solid defense. Tigers won 17-3.

Finally we have some nice weather, so we were able to play both of our games this week. On Mon, May 2nd, the

Lady Tigers had their 1st home game of the season against the other Nativity team. The Tigers struggled a little

at the plate the 1st couple of innings, however had strong defense to keep the game close. In the 3rd inning, the

bats came around putting the Tigers in the lead and pulled off another win 12-5.

The Tigers then took on St Agnes on Weds. The girls came out very strong with the bats and took an early lead,

followed by some strong defense. Everyone on the team was hitting the ball, ensuring we were getting runs eve-

ry inning. Final score 17-5.

Our next game is Monday May 9th against Holy Spirit. Come cheer on the Tigers!
