CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
The same criteria used to develop the K-12 Social Studies Expectations were the basis for the survey.
RIGOR – appropriate level of intellectual demand
CLARITY – clearly written, logical, easy-to-use
SPECIFICITY – specific enough to convey performance level
FOCUS – emphasize most important content
PROGRESSION – knowledge and skills build on previous learning
and prepare students for subsequent learning
COHERENCE – convey unified vision of social studies
