Mother ’s Day Greeting from Father Jim
Baptism
All parents seeking baptism for
their child are expected to attend a
preparation session. Parents are
recommended to attend a session
prior to the birth of their child.
Next Session of Baptism:
Preparation for the second born
child is Monday, May 28 at 7pm.
Godparents are also expected to
attend. This session will be held in
the St. Louis Room.
This weekend we pause to say "thanks" to all our
mothers and all women who fulfill "mother like"
roles in our lives. May Mary, Mother of God, who
knew both the joy and the burdens of being a wife, mother
and care-giver for her husband, Joseph and her son, Jesus be
a special intercessor and model for all of you!
The Sacrament
of Marriage
The Sacrament of Marriage can be
celebrated at a time convenient to
the couple and in accordance with
the parish schedule. The date and
time of the celebration must be
scheduled only with a priest or
deacon of the parish. The couple
must contact a priest or deacon of
the parish preferably one year prior
to the desired wedding date, but no
less than six months prior to their
desired date. The St. Cecilia Wedding
Guidelines 2019 is available from
the Parish Office and on our website.
This contains additional information
and guidelines.

Welcome to our visitors:
We hope that God will grant you peace and rest while you are
under our roof today.
May this church be your “second” home.
May those you love be near you in thought and prayer.
Even though we may not get to know you,
We pray that you will be comfortable and happy as if you
were in your own church home.
May whatever need brought you our way find a hearing by
God.
When you leave, may your journey be safe.
We pray you God’s peace.
Please welcome our new members who joined us in April:
Richard Martens
Edwige Mafuta
Gerard Mudimbi
The annual Walk for Life will be June 1 this

Stewardship: Paul and Barnabas encountered both
violent rejection and joyful acceptance of the message they
preached. We, too, may be met with mixed reactions when we
use our gifts in the service of God. But, the Gospel assures us,
the regard for those who follow faithfully is eternal life.
Marriage Corner: “So they shook the dust from their
feet . . . “ (Acts 13:51). Some arguments just aren’t worth
fighting. If you and your beloved have an ongoing
disagreement, consider whether it’s time to shake the dust
from your feet, let this one go, and move forward together.

Happy Mother's Day
God made a wonderful mother. A mother who never grows old.
He made her smile of the sunshine. And he molded her heart of pure gold.
In her eyes he placed bright shining stars. In her cheeks pure roses you see. God made a wonderful mother.
And he gave that dear mother to me. ~Unknown

Planned Giving: A mother’s love is eternal. The Holy Sprit
brought the early church alive by giving individuals gifts that
would sustain the church, but there was a catch—THEY HAD
TO BE SHARED. By sharing the gifts you have been blessed
with, you can help keep the Church alive for years to come.
