*CONFESSION OF SIN (Unison) Dr. Stephen McKinley-Whitaker God of all hope and joy, we confess that we continue to live in fear. While Jesus was with us on earth, we dismissed him as a heavenly dreamer. Now that he reigns in heaven, we forget that he is Lord of all the earth. Forgive us, God of grace. Help us to look for the presence of the living Christ in our world today. (Continue to pray silently)

*ASSURANCE OF GRACE Remember your baptism and believe the good news of the Gospel. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. *RESPONSE OF PRAISE 108 Christ is Alive! Truro

Christ is alive! No longer bound To distant years in Palestine, But saving, healing, here and now, And touching every place and time.

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION SCRIPTURE LESSON Luke 24:44-53 NT p. 91 The Word of the Lord Thanks be to God. ANTHEM (10:30) Unfold, Ye Portals Charles Gounod Celestial and Sanctuary Choirs

Unfold, ye portals everlasting! With welcome to receive Him ascending on high. Behold the King of Glory! He mounts up through the sky, Back to the heav'nly mansions hasting, Unfold, for lo, the King comes nigh.

But who is He, the King of Glory? He who death overcame, the Lord in battle mighty. But who is He, the King of Glory? Of hosts He is the Lord, of angels and of powers: The King of Glory is the King of the saints.

NOTE OF THANKS: To Our Derry Family,I want to say THANK YOU to all for your prayers, concerns, hugs and show of love on my walk finding out my medical issues. God is not done with me yet, around here, so you will see me around for a long time just going a little slower. My love to all, Nancy Kitzmiller

FIND OUT WHY: Tom & Nancy Kitzmiller - Why we work on the G.O.D. SquadTom and I went on a Lend A Hand Mission Trip to Mississippi in 2005 and at the Thursday eve-ning prayer service a fellow from out west sug-gested we look for mission opportunities when we get home. Back at Hershey, I saw an oppor-tunity, working with the Building & Grounds Committee to enhance the church property and the G.O.D. (Gardners of Derry) SQUAD was created - we sought out others who like to see flowers grow and weeds pulled and volunteered to take care of a garden plot and be part of a team. A BIG THANKS goes out to all who have been a part of the past and present team who have spent their time, resources and energy to continue to make GOD’S HOUSE (Derry Church) a cared for, welcoming and loved building and property. We always seek out others who are looking to join this dedicated Squad. WHY: Mis-sion opportunities - working and helping others with keeping the “Meeting Place” welcoming.
