School Improvement Plan & Financial Updates Our new plan for the financial year 2015/2016 is now available for viewing on our website. It has been a very challenging time for us because of increased costs and a fall in numbers. However, we have set a balanced budget with some money put aside to ease future pressures. We continue to focus on improving pupils’ progress in the core subjects and on embedding assessment procedures for assessing learning in the new national curriculum. Up to date financial information about how school is spending its Pupil Premium and Sports Funding will be posted in the coming weeks. Sporting Success Nathan Magnone in Y5 represented Stockton Schools in the Tees Valley Gala last month. The Stockton Team was made up of the strongest swimmers from the schools which took part in the town wide gala. They swam against teams from across the Tees Valley and performed very well in all of the competition. A super achievement: well done Nathan. Two of our cross country runners are now Tees Valley Champions! Gabby Hall and Joseph Butler were winners in their year group competitions across the whole of the Tees Valley an amazing achievement. Sun Protection If you want your child to apply sun screen during the school day, it must be brought into school in its original bottle, clearly labelled with the child’s name. School must be informed in writing and the bottle stored in the teacher’s cupboard. Children must apply the sunscreen themselves - we cannot be responsible for applying the cream. Alternatively there are sun protection products available from pharmacies and supermarkets which require only one application per day and can be applied at home each day before school.
