The Offi ce of Family and Faith Formation is off ering a renewal series at Pastoral Center located at 2110 Broadway in Sacramento. The topic of the second session will be on the Sacred Scriptures. Please note that there is an updated form for certifying basic catechists with the Diocese. In addition to the current process, the form now has a place for the parish safe environment coordinator to certify that the applicant has completed the background check and has a current Safe Haven training. NOTE, ALSO that it is the expectation that all new catechists work to obtain the catechist certifi cation within a year after they have begun volunteering as a catechist. Once obtained, active catechists should maintain their certifi cation through continuing formation towards the renewal of the certifi cation. The new form can be found on the website at www.scd.org/basiccertifi cation
