As I write this month’sarticle, we’ve just begun thesecond quarter of our year(April through June). For thespring quarter, there are anumber of internal staffdevelopment initiativesincluded in the “Organizationaland Leadership Development”area that aren’t all that relevantto report here. However, I didwant to note that trainingsrelated to professionaldevelopment of Boardmembers are also included inthis priority area. For instance,in April the Board requestedtraining in understandingcurrent obstacles to closing onsales, including some of thedemographic challenges ourmarket is currentlyexperiencing. This training

was conducted by StarBradbury and Dick Ambrosiusof PRAXEIS® and was a helpfulreminder of how Boardmembers can respond to thesechallenges as they representWestcott Lakes in the localmarketplace. In the area of “Voice of theCustomer,” we continue to seekyour valuable input on thedevelopment of Westcott Lakesin a couple of different waysthis quarter. For instance, yourPCA has been working hard atreTining its structure andprocesses for representing themembership. This quarter theyare Tinalizing their Bylaws andestablishing some newcommittees to ensure a goodcommunication Tlow frommembers to staff to Board. Beon the lookout for “Want Ads”in Soaring, which they areusing to invite committeeparticipation! Please also beon the lookout for invitationsbeginning this quarter andlasting throughout the year to asmall dinner party in yourhonor that my wife, Laure, andI would like to host with asmall group of Members everyfew weeks at the WelcomeCenter. Mark GrifTis and hiswife, Tasha, will also help hostthese dinners on occasion. These evenings will provide uswith a relaxed and comfortable

opportunity for us to get toknow each other better and forMark and me to learn morefrom each of you about how tomake Westcott Lakes the bestcommunity it can be.Our “Voice of the Customer”initiative was also veryproductive during the pastquarter. Following the winterFounders Club dinner, wereceived some very helpfulfeedback on futureprogramming for those events. We’ve incorporated this feed-back into the planning for thespring Founders Club dinneron Monday, May 18th, whichwill be an evening of “just fun.”Your PCA’s Social Committee isplanning an evening for social-izing (with no speeches orpresentations). I trust you’ll beable to join in the fun!Hopefully, all of you have alsoreturned your SatisfactionSurveys to the PRAXEIS ofTiceso that we may incorporateyour feedback into ouroperations at the WestcottLakes ofTice. We appreciateyour taking the time to let usknow how we are doing andhow we can improve in ourservice to you, our customers.
