All Saints Church News
Dear Friends,
I really hope by the time your reading this that we have
had some dry warm days. It's been a long winter. On the
plus side it's meant our favourite topic the weather has
been discussed more than ever. Everyday walking my dog
I've had ‘weather chats’, It's a good ice breaker, nothing
offensive or controversial. Most of us agree that the
climate is changing and there the chattering ends. But
maybe it should go on?
What's causing climate change? How can we help
preserve our beautiful planet? Nuclear Power? Solar
power? Hydro-electric? Tidal power in the Bristol Channel?
The tidal range of the Bristol channel is 2nd only in the world
to Burncoat Head in the Bay of Fundy in Eastern Canada.
It seems we all see the need for something to be done,
but NOT in my back garden. Sooner or later it's going to
have to be in our back gardens, otherwise God's beautiful
world will disappear and our children and grandchildren
and every generation to follow will live in a very different
world.
Each one of us is responsible, not one of us is excluded
from this responsibility.
Enjoy spring and imagine if it were not to happen.
God’s Blessing on each and every one of you.
Revd Susie Parsons
Assistant Curate Polden Wheel
