Happy Spring to Everyone! We are so glad for the warmer weather that has arrived, but along with it, all this rain! The students have continued to work hard in class, but weve still had fun times too, including Relay Recess, Easter parties, and Pizza with the Principals lunches. Our Positive Behavior and Intervention Support Committee has been busy this year making sure that all our students are successful. Our programs help to support both students and teachers. Our students feel success when they follow our school-wide expectations and they receive Buzz Bucks, CHAMPOs, or compliments from adults on campus! We recently celebrated a school-wide Champo reward with our Neon Day! This was a huge success, and we were all brightly colored that day! I have challenged the students to reach 50 Champos for one more school-wide reward! I know that they can do it! We want our community to know Honey Island is a positive school where students can learn and grow both intellectually and emotionally! I think we have accomplished that goal this year! Our PBIS program would not be successful without the help of our committee who works so hard in planning events, looking at data, and spreading our positive message to our community. I also want to thank our PTA for their support of our programs, especially with the Honey Hive store. Our students look so forward to visiting the store every Thursday, and I know it is a huge commitment to be there every week. We thank you sincerely for your help in supporting our students behavior! As we look forward to the end of another successful school year, I want to say how much I have enjoyed greeting each student every morning and getting to know them. Each student has unique qualities, and altogether, they make one terrific school community! Thank you parents, for bringing us such wonderful boys and girls, and thank you for your continued support! I hope everyone has a safe and fun-filled summer. Students, dont forget to spend some time reading your favorite books, have fun with your family and friends, and remember to always be kind and helpful! Mrs. Troyer
