hamber President Robin Anderson has been selected as an Education Attainment Fellow as part of a promising initiative led by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). This fellowship is for senior staff working to improve
the birth-to-career education pipeline in their communities.
Anderson will join a cohort of 22 chamber peers for an immersive education and workforce development experience involving best practices in education attainment, case studies of successes and failures, interaction with national experts, and building a strong peer-to-peer network. Throughout this fellowship, Anderson will be developing and executing a specific regional action plan to meet North Iowa’s educational attainment objectives.
Anderson was selected based upon her passion for strengthening the talent pipeline and improving regional education and workforce development outcomes. This fellowship program serves to advance the Mason City Chamber’s education attainment goals and will ultimately help ACCE and peers around the country build replicable programs and policies.

Travel with the Chamber!
“People on our website have already made an important decision; they are looking for a business right here in North Iowa.”
Many members realize the benefit of their membership and the value of targeting the market already driven to the Chamber’s Online Business Directory. It is about utilizing the web and the Chamber name to promote your business.
Did you know that all Chamber members begin with a basic package that displays their business contact information, a brief description, eight keywords, hours of operation and driving directions, as well as a link to their website/social media site in the Chamber’s Online Business Directory? Want more visibility? We encourage members to upgrade to the Enhanced Package that has all the features of the basic package, plus additional web description/text context on search results, bulleted highlights, expanded business description, company logo, slideshow of photos or YouTube video, and priority placement over basic listings. This is a great investment for an additional $100!
Contact Gary or Allyson at the Chamber for more information regarding these upgrades/opportunities and how to gain additional, exclusive visibility in front of the Chamber website traffic.

Leaders are Readers
Studies show that leaders share a common characteristic: they are lifelong learners. Many leaders are avid readers who turn to books, newspapers, and periodicals for professional development and to keep abreast of industry trends as well as leisure reading.
