Have You Heard About the New Restaurant Opening Up at South Cooking Lake?

Nonnie’s Grill and Artisan Shop will be opening soon in the building where the Firehall Diner used to be. They are working hard with their plans for a takeout menu. Find them on Facebook for more details about what they will be offering or contact Rene at [email protected]. We are very excited to have this new business in our community! Trail Days Will Not Go Ahead

We’re very sad to announce that our annual Trail Days celebration will not go ahead this summer. Thank you to all of our sponsors and regular participants for your continued support and we look forward to our next Trail Days event in August 2021! Stay safe and healthy everyone. Community League Memberships – Help Support Community Activities The cost for a Community League Membership is $20/year per family and the money raised from the memberships helps fund activities in our community such as the kids’ holiday parties and other events. It also gives you discounts on classes and events at the Hall and the opportunity to vote at league meetings. Please contact Heather at [email protected] to sign up. Thanks for your support! Kids Spring Soccer Program

Our soccer program is currently on hold. We have not accepted any registrations or payments yet .... and we will keep you posted if we are able to move forward for May and June if it is safe to do so. Contact Heather at [email protected] for more information.

Plans for 100th Anniversary Celebration 2023 marks the 100-year anniversary of the South Cooking Lake Community League - and plans have begun for how we should celebrate this important milestone! If you have suggestions for ways to mark the occasion, please let us know. Some suggestions have been a mural painted on the side of the Community Hall, community gardens, walking bridges added to the marshy areas of the lake, an airplane monument, etc. We want to hear from you! The more help we have, the more things we can do. Contact Heather at [email protected] with your ideas and to find out how you can get involved. What Classes Would You Like to See at the Hall?

We are working on our calendar of classes and activities to resume as soon as it is safe to offer them. What types of classes/activities would you like to see offered? Please contact Heather at [email protected] with your ideas.

Looking for Instructors

Would you or would someone you know be interested in teaching a class in our community once it is safe to do so? Some suggestions for classes have been gymnastics for kids, sewing, art, meditation, etc. Other suggestions for classes are always welcome. Please contact Heather at [email protected] with your ideas.
