I n Anderson and Cherokee Counties, on Highway No, 7 hetween Elkharl and A l t o , i t is ordered that locat ion surveys be completed and r i g h t - o f -way deeds prepared and delivered t o the Counties involved, i n accordance w i t h the request of the Counties, such r ight -of -way to be not less than 120* i n width, and w i t h the understanding tha t no funds are now a v a i l ­able f o r the construction of this section, w i t h the exception of pro jec t previously programed;and

I t i s f u r t h e r ordered tha t the section of ex i s t i ng road on t h i s route, extending from Highway No. 19 south of Elkhart to the town of Slooum, be taken over f o r State maintenance at suoh time as the r igh t -o f -way has been secured and fenced by the County on the approved route be­tween Elkhart and Slooum.

WHEREAS, i n Bastrop County, Highway No. O.S.R., S.R.W.R. 115, Sec­t i o n 2, due to inclement weather and the i n a b i l i t y of W.P.A. to f u r n i s h r e l i e f t ruck dr ivers and s k i l l e d laborers, the work o r i g i n a l l y proposed cannot be completed wi th the funds set up; and

WHEREAS, the increased cost w i l l require $5,950.00 State funds;

IT IS THEREFORE ordered by the Commission tha t the $5,950.00 addi­t i o n a l State funds be appropriated to permit the completion of the pro­posed work, now estimated to oost approximately $33,000.00.

S, Highway No. 80 east of Abilene t o the Callahan Taylor County Line i n Taylor County and grading, drainage structures and f l e x i b l e base from the Taylor-Callahan County l ine southeast a distance of approximately 6 miles i n Callahan County, a l l on State Highway #o. 36, estimated to cost $92,149.00, be set up as a State sponsored W.P.A. pro jec t (S.R.W.R. 192-1, Taylor County, and S.R.W.R. 124-1, Callahan County). I n Eotor County, an increased appropriation of $4,500.00 i s here­by made f o r the completion of FAP 263-D, Control 4-6-4, Highway No. 1 . This overrun i s due to increased quant i ty of rock road exoavation and to ohange in w id th of asphalt surfacing from 20 f ee t to 22 f e e t .

WHEREAS, the Galveston County Causeway is entering the completion stage; and

WHEREAS, upon the completion o f t h i s noteworthy p ro jec t , i t i s desirable to i n s t a l l a l i g h t i n g system f o r the bene f i t of the heavy t rave l on the causeway; and

WHEREAS, i t seems l o g i c a l t ha t the i n s t a l l a t i o n and upkeep of sucl l i g h t i n g system should be the r e spons ib i l i t y of the Commissioners* Court o f Galveston County,

THEREFORE, be i t resolved by the State Highway Commission of Texas that the Commissioners* Court o f Galveston County be and i s here­by requested to i n s t a l l and maintain a sodium vapor, or other equally as good, l i g h t i n g system on the Galveston Causeway for the benef i t of the t r ave l ing pub l i c .

In Grayson County, an increased appropriation of $5,632.76 i s hereby made f o r the completion of grading and concrete pavement on Control 410-1-7, U. S. Highway No. 69. This overrun is caused by neces­s i t y f o r increased quant i ty of common road exoavation and haul thereon.
