Morning Prayer
O Lord, I love you with my whole heart. I thank you for having created me, called me into your Church and preserved me during the night past. I offer you all my actions of the day. Grant that they may be done according to your Holy will and for your greater glory. May your grace be always with me and with all those who are dear to me. Amen

Latin America and the World
Yesterday you read how many Latin American nations hoped for democracy when they gained their independence but instead had dictatorships. Dictators were almost always wealthy and controlled the army.
Latin America and the World
You also read that Latin America has many natural resources that the rest of the world uses. This gives it a chance to build a strong economy.
Latin America and the World
Read pages 188-189
As you read pay attention to the exports of Latin America. Also, what was the cause of the Spanish-American War? Who was involved? What is “Remember the Maine”?

Interpret the Picture
What is happening here? This is one of my favorite bible stories.
We Proclaim the Good News of Christ by what we say and do.
As you read, make sure to highlight a definition of “evangelization” and “liturgy.”
How can we proclaim the Good News?

Build Your Friendship with God
I challenge each of you to spend time getting to know God better. How can we do this? We can pray, but try to think of it as talking to God. If we talk to God, don’t forget to listen!
Another great way to get to know God is to read the bible. If you don’t have one you can click the link for the Mass readings for today.
