Audio Embed Code
Audio Embed Code
Vivo is currently experiencing issues with the audio embed codes. • ID Action Items: • For the time being, stop using the audio embed codes within your courses. • If you have Vivo audio embed codes in any of your courses, please go back
and replace the audio embed code with the permalink.
• Best Practice: • If you chose to embed your audio and video files within Blackboard, it is a
best practice to also provide the permalink.
Nook Study
Nook Study
Barnes and Noble will no longer be supporting the Nook Study integration and plans to shut down the service on July 1, 2015. • ID Action Items: • If you have faculty using this tool, please make them aware of this change
and ask them to no longer use the tool.
• In the Works: • Barnes and Noble launched their digital education platform Yuzu last spring. • The LMS and DEE Team are currently in the process of installing and testing
the new integration with Blackboard Learn.

ProctorU Building Block
ProctorU Building Block
• Current Issues: • Student Invalid Start Date
• Existing Issues: • Coupon Codes not available for 2.0 students • ID Name vs. Professor Name • Can not be used for exams outside of BB (MyLabs, etc.) • Notes need to be re-entered • Students using multiple email addresses to schedule exams • Test Exceptions
ProctorU Building Block
• Work Arounds: • For the Summer Term, do not use the Building Block to schedule your
exams. • Submit ADF forms directly to [email protected]
ProctorU • Best Practices: • Submit the ADF form for all your courses.
• Make sure to label your exams “Blackboard Course Title– Title of Exam”. Such as: “1155 - ADV3008 - Principles of Advertising - Section RVAA - Summer 2015 - Exam 1”
• In the Term area please include the semester of the course. Example (Spring 2015).
• Make sure to include your name and contact info on the form
• Students should only be using their FIU email when registering for exams • BB | Test Exception with an Availability Date/Time: first submit the exam to Proctor U
without including the test exceptions. Make sure to add any test exceptions to the exam notes and also email these test exceptions to [email protected]. Then after the exam has been submitted to Proctor U, go back and add the Test Exceptions in Blackboard.
• Advise Students (Course Instructions) to have 2 forms of ID ready for the authentication quiz.
ProctorU • Best Practices: • Advise faculty that all exams should be scheduled at minimum 1 week prior to their
start date to allow students ample time to register. • ProctorU recommends that students schedule their exams at least 72 hours in advance. Any
appointments made within 72 hours will require an additional fee of $5.00. Students can bypass the scheduling process and take their exam "on-demand". This option costs $8.75 above the regular exam fee.
• Advise faculty to allow a 24-48hr window for students to sign up and complete the exam.
• All Best Practices will soon be posted to Knowledge Center for everyone to review and reference
ProctorU • In the Works: • ProctorU has developed an LTI Integration (Iframe within BB). • The LMS and DEE Team are currently in the process of installing and
testing the new integration with Blackboard Learn.
