MAY 6, 2018 SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
The more profound things are, the simpler they
seem to be. The essence of the Gospel and
this season coalesces in today’s focus on God’s
love for us and the commandment to love one
another. This may seem far too simple; but the
reality is amazing and a little terrifying. If we
are honest, we know both the impact and the
cost of this kind of love from our personal
experience.
“This I command you: love one another.” ---John 15:17
First Reading: Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48 God’s presence is available to all Second Reading: 1 John 4:7-10 God is made known to us through love Gospel: John 15:9-17 “This I command you: love one another.”

Living the Gospel by caring for the elderly.
Ever since Erika had a stroke, her diminished mobility kept
her from enjoying many activities. When LA Centre for
Active Living planned a trip to the Garlic Festival, Erika
worried her disabilities would get in the way. To Erika’s
delight, the ShareLife-funded agency ensured the trip was
fully accessible for her. Having the most fun she's had in
years, she felt like her disabilities disappeared. Last year,
ShareLife-supported agencies provided care to over 6,300
seniors.
May 27, 2018 is the next ShareLife Sunday
