Temple Splash PadsOpen for Summer
Temperatures are rising and Temple Parks and Leisure Services wants to help you cool off at the Temple Splash Pads! All three splash pad locations will open weekends only starting Saturday, May 5 and daily starting May 31.
Three great splash pads to explore in Temple:• Ferguson Park Splash Pad 1203 E. Adams• Miller Park Splash Pad 1919 N. 1st Street• West Temple Park Splash Pad 121 S. Montpark Road
“The splash pads in Temple are very popular. We estimate over 15,000 children will visit the splash pads this summer,” said Parks and Leisure Services Director, Ken Cicora. “The first one we opened was at Ferguson Park and because of that success, in the 2007 Parks Bond election we put the Miller and West Temple Park splash pads on the ballot and they were overwhelmingly approved by the voters. Splash pads offer a free and fun activity for the community and we are happy to offer three unique splash pads across Temple.” The splash pads are operational from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. throughout the summer. Weather permitting, they will stay open through early fall.
For more information on the splash pads, please visit www.TempleParks.com or call 254.298.5690.
