Publisher's Perspective

POWER is the ability to influence theattainment of goals of an individual or a group.Power is not a characteristic of any oneindividual, rather, it is defined in terms ofrelationships and transactions between people. When it comes to employment andentrepreneurship, it is essential to know thepower of your network. It’s been said, “it’s notwhat you know but who you know!” I would liketo add that it’s also what they know about you.The reason being is people do business withpeople they know, like or trust and to have astrong network, people have to do just that, know, like or trust you.

NETWORKING is a supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groupshaving a common interest . Understanding the definition of networking is crucial because there are somekey words in this definition that people miss in their networking endeavors. Those words are "sharinginformation" and "common interest". Too often people say “I got NOTHING from that event!” so I ask,

“What were you offering?” and I get a puzzled look. The problem is people approach networking tuned intoWIIFM (What's In It For Me?) and the networking experience is a lost battle before it begins. The reality isnothing from nothing leaves nothing - - if you are not bringing anything to the table, you should not expectto take anything from the table. This issue of CM is vitally important to your future. It's about networking,neck-working, and netweaving, concepts that when understood properly can power up your networkensuring a bright future. I'm so very excited about having the opportunity topower up your career, your business and ulltimately your life with informationand education that you can use today for a better tomorrow. It's time tomove into the next dimension and become the creators of your worklife. It'strue, the power really is within, it's just waiting for you to plug into the rightpower source! LETS GO! POWER UP!
