One of the greatest success stories in Australian show business, The Wiggles evolved from small-scale children’s entertainers to a genuine international phenomenon. The group formed in 1991, and comprised Anthony Field, Jeff Fatt, Murray Cook and Greg Page. Field and Fatt had been members of 80s pop outfit,
the Cockroaches, for whom Page was a roadie, and the new band formed after Field had met Cook whilst studying to become pre-school teachers. Their studies motivated the band to utilise early educational concepts to create children’s music, although no one could have envisaged The Wiggles’ ultimate success when they began a ‘temporary’ musical project as part of their University course.
The first Wiggles album was released in 1991, but it was not until the mid 90s that their popularity began to climb, with the band really taking off following TV deals in the late 90s – in Australia and, crucially, the US. TV shows, albums, videos, extensive concert tours – and huge success – followed, and by 2008, the group had earned 17 gold, 12 platinum, 3 double-platinum and

A recipe for success unparalleled in popular entertainment, The Wiggles have, for twenty years, combined bright, catchy tunes with theories of child development, and in so doing have won the hearts of millions of children across the globe – and won the respect and admiration of millions of parents as well.
10 multi-platinum awards through the sales of over 17 million DVDs and 4 millions CDs. With Wiggles merchandise also extremely popular, the band was named Australia’s top-earning entertainers four years in a row (2004-08) and made an astonishing A$45m in 2009 alone! The Wiggles have also earned many industry awards for
their work, and in addition to being named UNICEF goodwill ambassadors in 2008, the four original band-members were appointed Members of the Order of Australia in 2010 for service to the arts in Australia. Perhaps most satisfying of all, The Wiggles can reflect upon the fact that their music is played and sung every day in homes and pre-schools all over the world.

An irresistible opportunity to own every $1 type issued for circulation in Australia, the Complete 1984-2010 $1 Commemorative Collection is defined by superb presentation, excellent value-for-money and, crucially, strictly Uncirculated quality!
Australia’s first $1 coin…More durable and more cost-effective than the $1 note, the first al-br $1 coin was issued in May 1984. Continuing the Australian wildlife theme underpinning the nation’s original circulating decimal coins, the first $1 carried the ‘Mob of Roos’ design by Stuart Devlin. Unique in Australian numismatics, the 1984 Roos $1 is the only $1 distinguished by the original decimal portrait of Elizabeth II.
A grand commemorative tradition…Celebrating Australia’s past, present and future through coinage, the RAM released Australia’s very first commemorative $1 in 1986. That coin, honouring the Year of Peace, has been joined by fifteen
further $1 commemoratives in the quarter of a century since, and every one of those designs – PLUS the first Mob of Roos date – is included in this comprehensive 17-coin presentation!
Hard-to-find in change…Although all seventeen one-year-only 25mm al-br $1 types have been issued for circulation,
Australia’s grand tradition of ‘hoarding the commemorative’ makes it virtually impossible to compile the 1984-2010 $1 Commemorative Collection from your change. Even if you were very lucky, and sourced all seventeen coins from circulation, they would never be in pristine, Mint state quality – as here.
Complete – and in Unc quality! Beautifully presented within an attractive, informative 420mm
x 297mm full-colour pack, this premium grade collection makes that traditional search through change irrelevant. Featuring every issued commemorative $1 type, united with the first Mob of Roos $1, this is your chance to create the complete circulating $1 collection in one hit – with every coin in strictly Uncirculated condition! * Mintmark coins may be used

Individually brilliant, with each Silver Proof distinguished by a powerful Rugby motif, the four legal tender coins represent South Africa (1995 & 2007), New Zealand (1987), Australia (1991 & 1999) and England (2003) – with the last three mentioned coins EXCLUSIVE TO THIS SET!
A truly outstanding numismatic presentation, sure to command the attention of collectors across the globe, the Rugby World Cup 2011 Champions Silver Proof Collection is a must-have for fans of ‘The Game They Play in Heaven’ – but you will have to be quick. Notwithstanding the inevitably huge international demand for this set – with Rugby fans in Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa, in particular, set to pounce – the worldwide limited edition of this new release has been restricted to a perplexingly low 2,011 sets.
A limited window of opportunity for our clients to secure this prestigious, officially endorsed Rugby World Cup 2011 commemorative collection, we must advise immediate action. With demand for this unique presentation sure to be huge, and the tiny limited edition certain to be devastated in short order, Downies allocation has been tightly restricted – and a sell-
out is inevitable.

Just TEN in existence!
A GREAT AUSTRALIAN RARITY…
NEVER MEANT TO BE ISSUED…
Never before offered by Downies, we are delighted to be able to give our clients the chance to own a truly great Australian philatelic rarity – the 1978 18c NT Perforated Error Strip of Four! Although it is unknown how many were created by the malfunction in the
sheet perforation, the infrequent appearances on the market of this imperforate type is testimony to its great rarity. Distinctive and dramatic, this Error type is a must-have for the serious philatelist, and for anyone interested in the rarest of Australian collectables – but you
Immensely rare, the 1981 24c Tasmanian Tiger Imperforate Pair is known by just TEN examples! With just two in stock, we urge interested parties to stake their claim immediately. One of the rarest Australian philatelic errors, celebrating one of Australia’s most
intriguing creatures, the spectacular imperforate 24c Tasmanian Tiger variety was caused by a glitch in the perforation machine. This discovery of this highly desirable philatelic rarity set the market alight, and this key Error type has since been the apple of many a collector’s eye. A prestigious addition to any collection, seldom
seen on the market, this exceedingly rare imperforate pair can be yours in MUH – together with a MUH standard pair for contrast.
TRIANGLE TROUBLE! THE EYES

FLORAL FAUX PAS…
THAT SINKING
FEELING…
One of the first philatelic commemoratives issued during the reign of Elizabeth II, this scarce predecimal type is distinguished by the misalignment of the red triangle in the design. Paying tribute to the YMCA, and seldom offered in top grade, we have this unusual error in Blocks of 4 in superb MUH condition, accompanied by a standard Block of 4 for comparison.
Marking the 75th anniversary of Australian nationhood, this 1976 philatelic issue is known by two highly distinctive types. Notable for several variations in the designs, the scarce 2nd type is most obviously recognised by the ‘long’ eye of the Kangaroo, compared to the ‘dot’ eye on the 1st type. Well within your reach at just A$18.95, we have both types in MUH Blocks of 4.
Caused by a shift during printing, this distinctive error is distinguished by the omission of the buff background colour and the misplacement of the colour design – seen in the accidental positioning of the leaves over ‘Australia’! Cataloguing at A$400 per stamp, we have this rare Error type in MUH pairs, with a standard pair for comparison, at just A$295!
It was red faces all round at Australia Post in 1980, when it was discovered that the 1980 AAT 15c SS Nimrod stamp actually depicted the SS Morning! This blunder was rectified with the issue of a 1981 stamp bearing the correct picture of the SS Nimrod, and we have BOTH the incorrect 1980 stamp and correct 1981 stamp in MUH Blocks of 4 for just A$19.95!

One of his most celebrated works, indicative of his notoriously strong use of colour, Canaletto’s Return of the Bucentaurn to the Molo on Ascension Day is perfectly recreated in glorious full-colour, with the border of 17 genuine Swarovski crystals providing the perfect finishing touch. As the Masterpieces of Art Series is one of the most sought after collector series in international numismatics, with every coin thus far released sold out at lightning speed, we must advise
immediate action. With just 1,732 coins struck – each set in an official case with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity – this spellbinding work of numismatic artistry will be available for a short time only.

Real salt from the Dead Sea!
A tremendously innovative new program from Israel, this stunning legal tender series is defined by flawless precious metal Proofs, tiny worldwide mintages, immaculate quality and REAL sea salt from the legendary Dead Sea! Found in an area rich in Biblical history and archaeology, the Dead Sea is the deepest lake in the world, situated at the lowest point of
the world – 420m below sea level. Created through a unique combination of geological and geographical conditions, and
notorious for its therapeutic properties, and the ease with which one can float on its surface due to the high density of the water, the Dead Sea is a deserving candidate as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Paying homage to this astonishing natural phenomenon, Israel has released a highly original range of legal tender coins, with each bearing a design of the Dead Sea based on a satellite photograph, united with a portrayal of a Wild Goat – one of many species of wildlife that flourish in the region. Restricted to a limited edition of 555, and a
prestigious acquisition for any gold collector, the 3-coin set comprises a 30mm 16.96g 22-carat Gold Proof, a 38.70mm 28.8g Silver Proof and a 30mm 14.4g Silver Proof. The 38.70mm 2NIS and 30mm 1NIS sterling silver coins – with mintages of 5,000 and 1,800 – are available individually, with each of the three presentations set in an official case featuring real Dead Sea salt in the lid! With our allocation tightly restricted due to the anticipated demand for these exceptional legal tender issues, we must advise our clients to make haste. A sell-out is inevitable.

Ships that Changed the World!COLUMBUS’ SANTA MARIA…A stirring start to what is sure to prove a sensational collector program, the first coin in the Ships that Changed the World Silver Proof Series pays
homage to one of history’s most famous seafaring vessels – Christopher Columbus’ Santa Maria.
The Santa Maria, formally known as the Santa Maria de La Immaculada Concepcion, was the largest of the three ships that Columbus employed in 1492-93 for the first of his famous voyages of exploration. Although his objective was to find a faster trade route to the East Indies, Columbus discovered islands just off the coast of America,
before ultimately setting foot on the continent on his third voyage. Although not the first explorer to reach the Americas
from Europe, Columbus’ voyages represent the true starting point of the exploration and colonisation of the New World. Beautifully accommodated by the expansive 40.60mm flan, this official legal tender coin is graced with a superbly sculpted, fully struck-up portrayal of the Santa Maria in full sail, contrasting against a full-colour map of the globe. Sure to be as popular with maritime enthusiasts as much as traditional coin collectors, the mintage
of this exclusive .999 fine silver Proof has been restricted to just 5,000 coins – each beautifully presented in an official case with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

waistcoats, elaborate hats and diamond encrusted jewellery, as so beautifully depicted upon this 30.60mm coin.Struck to BU quality, and superbly embellished with full-colour, this new al-bronze coin, as with each of its forerunners, is presented in an official card that when united with the other four coins in the series forms a
