As of April 17 th at the last general session of DCON, Lydia Thung became our new Lieutenant Governor. Board members should get to know her and welcome her into our KEY Club family! DCON Recap April 15 th – 17 th This year’s DCON at Anaheim was amazing. Not only was it a chance for use key clubbers to get to know our future LTG’s it was a way for use to learn about what KEY Club really is. What Is KEY Club? KEY Club is one of the oldest and largest high school service programs for high school students. It was created through the Kiwanis International Group and was created in order to teach leadership through service to others. Major Emphasis Program (MEP) Kiwanis International and UNICEF have come together once again in order to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This life- threatening disease takes the lives of about 60,000 babies and 30,000 mothers every single year. This disease causes newborns to suffer from painful seizures and sensitivity to light and touch. In order for this disease to be truly eliminated from the Earth, over 100 million mothers and their unborn babies must be immunized. With the dedicated work of UNICEF and members of the Kiwanis Family we can make a difference.

Welcome Lydia Thung! As of April 17th at the last general session of DCON, Lydia Thung became our new Lieutenant Governor. Board members should get to know her and welcome her into our KEY Club family!

DCON Recap April 15th – 17th This year’s DCON at Anaheim was amazing. Not only was it a chance for use key clubbers to get to know our future LTG’s it was a way for use to learn about what KEY Club really is.

International Convention (ICON) This year’s International Convention will be taking place JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona and will be from June 29th – July 3rd 2011. ICON is a larger form of DCON with the whole of the U.S.A attending.

Upcoming Events! This year Sheldon’s new board members have plans for the summer. Relay for Life will be on Saturday, May 21st at Elk Grove High School. In order to stay overnight you must raise a minimum of $100 in donations. On Tuesday, May 31st at Jordan Family Park we are having the End of the Year Social.
