Lieutenant Governor’s Note
Hello dear Key Clubbers,
As most of you may already know, I’m your lieutenant governor
for this 2012-2013 Key Club year! I’m so ecstatic to serve you guys
this year: I’ve been looking forward to this for quite some time. I
can honestly say that you guys have definitely made my life so
much better, and I can’t emphasis how much I love you guys al-
ready.
I’m currently a junior at Mansfield Summit High School, and I’ve
been in Key Club since my freshman year, due to the constant
pestering of my brother to join. Initially, I didn’t understand why he
loved Key Club so much, but as time passed, I came to realize the
joys of being an integral part of this organization. My personal fa-
vorite thing about Key Club is the leadership skills you build when
you realize that you can make an impactful difference on those
surrounding you. Although I am involved in other organizations in
my school, I truthfully believe that this club offers the most hands-
on experience to prepare an individual for the real world—
leadership, service, integrity, team work, and social interaction.
Besides Key Club, I also participate in UIL Academics, National
Honor Society, Academic Decathlon, and band. For those inquir-
ing minds, I play a pretty quirky instrument, the bassoon. And yes,
I suppose I qualify as a nerd/geek. I’m one of those kids you see
carrying giant backpacks, a huge instrument, and textbooks while
running to class. I am a huge fan of viruses, and I even have a
rhinovirus (common cold) giant microbe plush! As you can see, I
am a sucker for science, and my calculator is my best friend at
school.
When I’m not busy doing Key Club things or being a typical nerd, I
conform to my natural Asian tendencies. I love watching Asian
animes/dramas. Ramen is my favorite snack. Not to mention, my
room is filled with stuffed animals, especially spherical ones. I also
really like playing video games, such as, Little Big Planet, The Sims,
and failing at Call of Duty.
I’m a pretty awkward person at times, but I absolutely love talking
to Key Clubbers! Please don’t ever be afraid to talk to me! I’m just
a normal high school student just like you! I’ve experienced a di-
versity of problems as a key clubber, and I can most likely empa-
thize with you if you ever have any problems! I look forward to a
great year with you guys. Let’s make beautiful memories and
have a great year of service in our wonderful division of 39S!

Service truly is the Key to Paradise! From the great learning experience at the forums, the guest speaker whose mot-
to is “This ain’t your dream!," election of the new district staff, banquet, Governor’s ball, and the Sunday breakfast, I
had the time of my life. I look forward to seeing everyone at DCON after another great year of service!
