The online mathematics program, with a minor in business administration, general science, library media & information science, accounting, or special needs, is a transfer student-oriented program with courses offered in a cohort-based rotation. Please note that this is an eight-semester, or approximately three-year, cohort program, including two summer sessions. If a student drops, fails, or does not register for a course in the three year- rotation, it is the student’s responsibility to find an appropriate course substitution or wait until the course is offered again. The next online cohort program begins in the Fall 2019. Some required courses will be offered prior to Fall 2019. Please check with Extended Learning staff for more information. MathematicsThis major provides students with the knowledge, skills and techniques needed for using mathematics in non-teaching positions in business or industry. This major consists of 29 semester hours in mathematics, including completion of the final comprehensive review and examination (MATH 480). Students without a previously earned bachelor’s degree but with an associate’s degree must complete a minor. Students with an earned bachelor’s degree are not required to complete a minor. Pre-requisite courses, MATH 165 (Calculus I), COMM 110, ENGL 110, ENGL 120 or ENGL 125 are required, as well.
