September 2, 2020 Dear Congregants, The OE Yom Tov committee wishes to thank each and every person who made a reservation for one of our 6 minyanim by the deadline of August 31st. As you can imagine in this difficult year, all the aspects of the Yom Tovim were challenging. There remain a few challenges for which we beg your indulgence. There are remain-ing seats available in the early tent minyan, and the late inside minyanim. At this time, we welcome you to join us on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur but, you will be assigned to one of the remaining seats on a first come first serve basis. When the seats are specifically assigned the working assumption will be that family members can sit together and will opt to sit together without regard to social distancing. If this is not the case, please inform us by responding immediately to this email as seating arrangements must be finalized adhering to the COVID 19 protocols. This effort is being made to allow as many people to attend the minyan of their choice as possible. The late minyanim that will take place in the tent are at capacity. Accordingly, we ask that if you bought seats in the tent, late minyan, for Rosh Hashana that you will not be using on Yom Kippur, you advise Rich Kollmar, at [email protected] immediately. It is possible that we will not have enough seats for the early and late tent minyan to be combined into one, Mincha, Neilah and Kol Nidrei tent minyan. Accordingly, we are asking the attendees of the early tent minyan if they have an objection to moving inside for these services. If you are unable or uncomfortable davening inside, we will make every effort to accommodate you. If you do have an objection to moving inside, you must advise Rich Kollmar of this fact as soon as possible. In the event you have your own machzorim for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, we ask that you bring your machzor. If you do need to borrow a shul machzor we ask that you maintain this machzor as if it was your personal property. We ask that you keep it at home, in your locker, or in your or your husband’s tallis bag. Of course, we ask that all borrowed machzorim be returned to the shul after the Yom tov. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation. OE Yom Tov committee.
