Dear parents and students,

We had an amazing first 2 terms where students took part in many learning activities and events, giving them

the opportunity to embrace their cultural heritage and enhance their learning opportunities.

The Lonsdale Street Greek FestivalAs with every year, once again we showed

our support to the Lonsdale Street (Antipodes) Festival with the presence of

our own Omiros / Kalimera Kids stand, showcasing our vibrant learning culture.

Greek National Day Parade

Our Greek National Day Parade was a great success, with a large number of schools and organisations taking part.

This year was extra special as we had the privilege of having our Evzon from

Greece leading the parade, adding a magnificent atmosphere to the

occasion.

Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Parade.

After the Parade we had the honour of hosting our Evzon at the beautiful

Beachcomer’s cafe in St Kilda, owned by the Paraskevas brothers longstanding

parents of our school.

Aγαπητοί γονείς και μαθητές,

Οι μαθητές μας γεύτηκαν αρκετές εκπαιδευτικές εμπειρίες της πολτισμικής μας κληρονομιάς σε ένα όμορφο ταξίδι με αγκαλιά τη γλώσσα μας.

Το Έλληνικό Φεστιβάλ ‘Lonsdale Street’ (Antipodes Festival)Όπως κάθε χρόνο, και πάλι φέτος, δείξαμε τη στήριξή μας στο Ελληνικό Φεστιβάλ με την παρουσία του δικού μας περιπτέρου και της ανάδειξης της ζωντανής εκπαιδευτικής μας κουλτούρας.

Παρέλαση της 25ης ΜαρτίουΗ μέρα της Εθνικής μας Παρέλασης είχε μεγάλη επιτυχία, με τη συμμετοχή δεκάδων σχολείων και οργανισμών. Φέτος είχαμε την τύχη να έχουμε τους Εύζονες από την Ελλάδα να οδηγούν την παρέλαση, προσθέτοντας μια υπέροχη ατμόσφαιρα.

Συγχαρητήρια σε όλους τους μαθητές μας που συμμετείχαν στην Παρέλαση!

Μετά το πέρας της παρέλασης είχαμε την τιμή να φιλοξενήσουμε τους προσκεκλημένους Εύζωνες στο υπέροχο Beachcomber’s Cafe in St. Kilda των αδελφών Παρασκευά, γονέων του Σχολείου μας.

Our Oakleigh South students, along with five Government Schools of the surrounding area, had the honour of participating in the Inaugural Community Cultural Festival.

Well done to our students who did the Greek Culture proud!

Με μεγάλη χαρά σας ανακοινώνουμε ότι από το δεύτερο τρίμηνο, έχουμε αναλάβει τη λειτουργία του Ελληνικού Σχολείου Άριστον στο Moonee Ponds Primary School και στο Windsor Primary School. Ευχαριστούμε θερμά την Δρ Ελένη Καλαμπούκα για την εμπιστοσύνη της και καλωσορίζουμε τους μαθητές μας που προσαρμόζονται άψογα.

College has taken over Ariston Greek School in Moonee Ponds and Windsor. We would like to

Γιορτή της Μητέρας / Mother’s DayΓιορτή της ΜητέραςΓια ακόμα μια φορά, η Γιορτή της Μητέρας είχε μεγάλη επιτυχία,αφού οι μαθητές τίμησαν τη σπουδαιότητα στο πρόσωπο της Μητέρας μέσα από τραγούδια, ποιήματα και χορούς. Η εκδήλωση είχε σαν αποκορύφωμα τις δραστηριότητες όπου συμμετείχαν παιδιά, μαμάδες, γιαγιάδες και άλλα μέλη της οικογένειας.

Mother’s Day Celebration Once again, the celebration of Mother’s Day was a

great success across all our campuses where students demonstrated their love and appreciaton to their

mother through songs, poems and dances. The event was highlighted with interactive activities involving

the children, mothers, grandmothers, other family members and friends
