Onyx features a gloss piano black polypropylene cone, rubber surround and black semi-gloss ABS gasket. The Onyx series has been outfitted with a black semi gloss trim ring and traditional black mesh grill suited for any application. The rugged stamp steel basket has been dressed up with a black high-gloss paint, looks impres-sive against the vibrant red progressive cotton spider. Like the ONX subwoofers, the magnet structure is pro-tected by a black rubber wrap.

The Onyx speaker series come equipped with 30mm WideSphereTM titanium dome tweeters, which also feature a matching gloss black cone to that of the midrange speakers. The crossovers have been designed to filter out the unwanted frequencies and feed the midrange and tweeter. Featuring selectable 0db, -3dB and -6dB tweet-er attenuation along with a black smoked case, the Onyx crossover conveys class.

Part of a complete line of amplifiers, speakers, and subwoofers, Formula amps provide the same high quality and great sound you expect from MB Quart, and at an affordable price. The heat sink design is very clean and elegant. The mono amps are the first of their kind from MB Quart as they are designed to provide maximum output at 2-Ohms instead of the standard 1-Ohm from most mono amps. This was done in order to utilize the Formula FWA304 12” 4-Ohm DVC subwoofer in a single sub/single amp configuration. There are three 4 chan-nel, one 2 channel, and two mono amps, all RMS power and CEA compliant.

FORMULA

Positioned as entry-level quality audio, the Formula FWA304 offer features normally found in higher end units. Heat is dissipated with a high-energy magnet, front-plate and multi-layer high temperature voice-coil cooling for added reliability. The black chrome gasket and impact resistant magnet cover not only add to the great looks but also play a role in the overall structural rigidity of the speaker frame. Furthermore, MB Quart has spared no expense by integrating woven spider tinsel-leads into the design.

Another area that has been addressed through infallible MB Quart engineering is cone wobble. The use of an ultra-rigid pressed pulp cone with high extrusion rubber surround provides for super low frequency response, durability and great sound. Additionally, the use of a UV stabilized rubber surround permits the subwoofer cone to act like a stiff piston eliminating distortion and providing more accurate bass.
