This paper was a product of the work they did with Credit Suisse for their required MSBA practicum project. A reminder of community standards As we begin the new quarter, I would like to draw your attention to the importance of academic integrity not only for your time at Santa Clara University, but also for your future professional careers. I am sure that the strong reputation of the MBA/MS program was a significant component in your decision to pursue your graduate education at Santa Clara University. This reputation grounds in academic integrity. Only academic integrity allows employers and recruiters to trust your accomplishments. Students who violate the academic integrity through cheating, through sharing exam questions, or hiring an outside firm to do solutions jeopardize this trust relationship and the reputation of the graduate business programs. In turn, they also jeopardize your significant investments into your graduate education. If employers and recruiters can no longer trust the integrity of student accomplishments, they will turn elsewhere. Thus, upholding academic integrity is in the best interest of all students. As students at Santa Clara University, you are aware of the academic integrity pledge: “I am committed to being a person of integrity. I pledge, as a member of the Santa Clara University community, to abide by and uphold the standards of academic integrity contained in the Student Conduct Code.” You, as future alumni of the MBA/MS program, will rely on the strong reputation of the program to advance your career. Safeguard this reputation today by reporting violations of academic integrity. You can use the following form to anonymously report violations to academic integrity to the Office of Student Life. They have the structures and means to investigate and consult with the faculty and graduate staff. Cheers to the incoming Online MBA Winter 2019 cohort!
