In his welcome address, Hamad Buamim, President and CEO, Dubai Chamber, thanked Shaikh Mohammed for his continuous support and for providing a healthy investment environment to the pri-vate sector.

The number of companies par-ticipating in this cycle has reached 160 from 36 different business sectors, of which 80 per cent are participating for the first time.

The annual award has won for Dubai Chamber the Dubai Gov-ernment Excellence Program Best Administrative Project Award for 2007. On its part, the award hon-ours institutional performance and helps create a competitive busi-ness environment in the country.
