Send a Trenton Student to Summer Shakespeare

For the last eight years, McCarter has provided free after school arts experiences to elementary and middle school students who are un-able to commute to Princeton for classes. During this time, the program has grown substantially and we are incredibly proud of the im-pact our teaching artists have had on hundreds of students. At the moment, however, McCarter does not have substantial programming for high school students in Trenton, many of whom have limited or no access to arts education. You can help us change that. In partnership with Passage Theatre in Trenton, McCarter’s Education Department is hoping to launch a summer theater program for high school students, loosely modeled on our successful Summer Shakespeare course—a five-week conser-vatory acting program held every summer in Princeton. Trenton Summer Shakespeare would be held at Passage, eliminating the barrier of transportation for many students, and would be offered at no cost to the participants. For every $250 donation, one Trenton high school student will be able to attend Trenton Summer Shakespeare for one week. Without your support, we simply will not have the resources to make this program a reality. Sponsor a student for Trenton Summer Shakespeare, and join McCarter in our mission to make the arts accessible to all. Courtesy of: McCarter Theatre Center. L5.
