RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Every class herein is covered by the rules and specifi ca� ons of

the current USEF and MHSA Rule Books and will be judged in

accordance therewith. Zone III specifi ca� ons are at www.usef.

org/documents/zones/2016ZoneSpecs.pdf

2. The management reserves the right to decline to receive any

entry, or to return any entry fees before or during the show,

without being liable for damages. Exhibitors are no� fi ed that

any act of discourtesy or disobedience to Judges or offi cials

on the part of the owner, rider, trainer or groom shall

disqualify the entry and the owner shall forfeit entry and

other fees. See Rule GR914.

3. Post Entries will be accepted if � me and space permits for a

fee of $30. See entry form for closing date of pre entries.

4. Entries must be made on the offi cial show entry blank, and

include all required informa� on and signatures. All fees must

be paid and entry completed before numbers can be issued.

Membership and measurement cards, where applicable, must

be presented. Horses/ponies not having current

measurement cards will be measured at the show.

5. Exhibitors shall be responsible for the entry fees of all horses

entered by them or their agents even though the payment of

those fees are not submi� ed with the entry blanks. There will

be no refund of stabling fees.

6. All entries will be charged a $25 offi ce fee.

7. Non Showing Horses must fi ll out entry blank - Fee - $100.00

8. Every horse entered will be charged a USEF Federa� on Fee of

$16 ($8 D/M + $8 USEF fee)

9. Stall fees are not refundable.

10. Temporary stalls with a� ached doors will be available at $160

for the en� re show, $75 for one day (arrive the day you show)

or $100 for one night (arriving a� er 3:00 p.m. the day before

you show). Ini� al bedding will not be provided. Shavings

available at $8.00 per bag.

11. All accounts must be se� led in full at the show. A fee of $50

or 10% whichever is greater will be charged for any returned

checks.

12. Unpaid entries will be forwarded to USEF per Chapter 9,

GR913.

13. In the event of cancella� on of classes due to severe weather

or other emergency, the compe� � on will refund entry fees at

the request of the exhibitor within 30 days of the

cancella� on.

14. Proof of a nega� ve Coggins test taken within one year must

accompany each entry.

15. All horses compe� ng in Federa� on non-breed restricted

licensed compe� � ons with hunter, hunter breeding, jumper

and hunter seat equita� on classes must be properly iden� fi ed

and must obtain a Registra� on number from the USHJA.

16. Prize money will be paid in the show offi ce by credit to the

horse’s account. Prize money in excess of entry fees will be

paid to the owner of record by check within 30 days of the

show.

17. The management, McDonogh School, will not be responsible

for any accident which may occur to any exhibitor, owner,

a� endant, horse or equipment at the show.

18. All riders must wear properly fastened USEF approved

headgear at all � mes while mounted on the show grounds

19. Eight ribbons will be awarded in all rated Hunter and

Equita� on classes unless specifi ed otherwise.

20. Should any ques� ons or disputes arise that are not provided

for in the rules, the same shall be referred to the

management whose decision shall be fi nal.

21. Management may fi ne exhibitors up to $100 for improper

disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments.

22. Dogs must be kept on leashes at all � mes when on the show

grounds. Fines will be imposed for damage or interference

caused by your dog.

23. Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows

them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which

they reside will not be permi� ed to operate a motorized

vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts,

motorcycles, scooters, or farm u� lity vehicles, on the

compe� � on grounds of licensed compe� � ons. Minors who

have a valid temporary license may operate the above

described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied

by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent(s), legal

guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a

parent or guardian of a minor opera� ng a motorized vehicle

in viola� on of this rule are solely responsible for any

damages, claims, losses or ac� ons resul� ng from that

opera� on. Viola� ons of this rule will be cause for sanc� ons

against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are

responsible for the child commi� ng the off ense. Penal� es

may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s),

and/or trainer(s) from the compe� � on grounds for the

remainder of the compe� � on and charges being fi led against

any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6.

Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for

individuals with disabili� es are exempt from this rule.

24. Schooling is permi� ed in show rings un� l 7:30 AM, and upon

comple� on of scheduled classes.

25. Three entries are required to fi ll a performance class unless

otherwise specifi ed, or the class may declared void at the

discre� on of the commi� ee. The commi� ee reserves the

right to cancel or combine any classes as deemed necessary.

26. Hunter championship and reserve champion will be awarded

to 2 of the top 4 horses receiving the most points O/F. Only

these 4 horses will receive full points in U/S classes, and ½

points in model classes towards the championship. All classes

off ered will be worth full points except model classes.

27. It is a condi� on of entry that these rules and regula� ons be

read, understood and accepted.

other na� ons who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own Na� onal Federa� on, 10) USEA beginner novice

DIRECTIONS

From the Bal� more Beltway (695): Take Exit 20 (Route 140/Reisterstown Road) north one mile to the intersec� on of Reister-

stown and McDonogh Roads. Turn le� at the light onto McDonogh Road. Proceed 1.5 miles to Farm Road and make a right.

Proceed to the top of the hill.

From the Northwest Expressway (795): Take Exit 4 (Owings Mills Boulevard) and bear right off the exit to Town Center/Owings Mills

Boulevard. Proceed through two traffi c lights un� l the road ends. Turn le� onto Lyons Mill Road, con� nuing to the traffi c light. Turn

right onto Painters Mill Road, then le� at the next light onto McDonogh Road. Farm Road is the third drive on the le� . Proceed to the
