Area parents have been pleading for playground renovations in recent years. This incentivized MPNA to campaign for renovation and improvement over the past year. Following the October 18 ceremony, members of MPNA, area residents and officials will plant 1,000 daffodil bulbs in the gardens to improve the park. WHEN: Saturday October 18 th , 10:00 AM WHERE: McGolrick Park, Pavillion of Park, Greenpoint, Brooklyn. ** PHOTO OPPORTUNITY ** Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Councilmember Stephen Levin, Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Kevin Jeffrey and Brooklyn Community Board #1 officials will be recognized at the ceremony / news conference. State Assemblyman Joseph Lentol, a founding member of MPNA, will moderate the ceremony. Residents and elected officials will plant daffodils in the park following the ceremony. ###
