The Results
Survey ScaleAt the top of each page of the survey the following question is asked “How did the following contribute toyour decision to leave”. Then, each of the survey options are listed (e.g. Opportunities for careeradvancement) with the following scale.
• McLean & Company uses a standardized 6-point scale for data collection. Respondentsindicate the impact that each statement had on their decision to leave from “No effect” to a“Primary Reason” for leaving.
• Performance for the current period is displayed as a high impact score (% of respondents whosaid each statement was a moderate, major or primary reason for leaving). In the column to thefar right, we also isolate specifically the percent of respondents who indicated each statementwas a primary reason for leaving.
• The bars are colour coded according to whether each statement is a minor, moderate or majorconcern for your organization. Yellow indicates a minor concern, as less than 40% ofrespondents indicated this had a high impact on their decision to leave (moderate, major orprimary selected on scale). Orange indicates a moderate concern, as between 40 – 59% ofrespondents indicated this had a high impact on their decision to leave. Lastly, red indicates amajor concern, as over 60% of respondents indicated this had a high impact on their decision toleave.
• The Previous high impact score and Mclean & Co. Benchmark are included to help providecontext for current results.
