A McMillan G30 action represents the finest ideas from the laboratory of the long-rangecompetition circuits combined with the proving ground of actual combat and lawenforcement experience. Precision tolerances. Superior steel. Thoughtful ergonomics.And styling like a sleek sports car. A McMillan action is the foundation for a trueprofessional’s rifle.

EVEN THE UNDERSIDE OF A MCMILLAN ACTION IS A WORK OF ART. In a production action, this area is finished poorly with burrs and tool marks to save costs. Incontrast, every component of aMcMillan G30 action showsprecision engineering and attentionto detail throughout, whether thearea is hidden or exposed.

TIGHT BENCHREST TOLERANCES.Decades of experience in the benchrest circuit have shownthat absolute concentricity of the bolt and the action bodyaround the axis defined by the bore line of the barrel isparamount to precision shooting. Each McMillan action is CNCmachined from a centerless ground billet blank, not a forging.The face of the action is absolutely perpendicular to the axisof the bolt. Tolerances on general metalwork are held to within0.005". Critical parts are held to 0.0005" tolerances.

RECESSED BOLT FACE FOR STRENGTH.The bolt face, the barrel shank andthe action all surround the cartridgehead to add strength in this criticalarea during ignition.

FLUTED BOLT AIDS RELIABILITY.Flutes sweep mud and grit away, helping to keep theaction operating smoothly in harsh environments.

ACCEPTS REMINGTON-STYLE TRIGGER.

PREMIUM GRADE STAINLESS STEEL.The body of every action is machined from 17-4stainless steel. This is a tougher, more corrosionresistant material compared to 4000-series alloyoften used on firearms. The surface of the actionis hardened to 42-43 RC. The bolt body useseven tougher 9310 steel, surface hardened toover 60 RC.

CLAW EXTRACTOR FOR POSITIVE EXTRACTION.The McMillan push feed action uses a “Sako-style”claw extractor of our own design. This producespositive extraction and push-round feeding.

DUAL FAIL-SAFE EJECTOR. The McMillan G30 push feed action uses aRemington-style plunger ejector, plus asecondary backup spring-loaded mechanicalejector that lifts up as the bolt body passesover it.

ELEGANTLY-STYLED BOLT SHROUD.The McMillan bolt shroud adds distinctionand accents the action’s graceful lines.

A COMFORTABLE BOLT HANDLE.The bolt handle on every action is long enough to grip easily andcontoured to clear today’s largerscope bodies. The bolt is plated with NP3 for enhanced lubricity,rust-resistance and durability.

NO TOOLS BOLT DISASSEMBLY.The innovative G30 bolt disassembles easily without tools so you can clean the firing pin assembly.

CLASSIC 3-P0SITION SAFETY. The G30 Control Round Feed actionfeatures a 3-position wing safety:Fire, Safe, and Safe with Bolt Lock.The G30 bolt is designed to close ona round already in the chamber.

CLAW EXTRACTOR FOR POSITIVE EXTRACTION.The G30 Control Round Feed action grabs a round from the magazineand holds it firmly in the boltface for positive feeding and extraction.This is often a desired feature for dangerous game rifles as well asmatch rifles used in across-the-course rapid fire competition.
