SECTIONHEALTH AND SAFETY 4
At key stages throughout the design, manufacture and installation process, the project specific hazards associated with the project will be identified and assessed to ensure that during the construction phase, use and maintenance of the development following completion, and its eventual demolition, all relevant hazards have been properly considered and, where appropriate, steps have been taken to reduce high risk elements.
These hazards will be identified, where appropriate, on drawings, and assessments recorded using standard Hazard Assessment forms which identify elements of work/maintenance, relevant hazards, and assessment of likelihood and severity of risk (high, medium, and low), alternative proposals and method of addressing specific problems. All assessments that are considered high in respect of likelihood and severity will be reconsidered in design terms to reduce the perceived risk.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
M.C.S Pipework Services Ltd will liaise as appropriate with the Client, CDM Co-coordinator, and other members of the Design Team, to ensure that all relevant hazards associated with a particular project are properly addressed. Generic Hazard Assessments will not be used, so as to ensure that each project is individually and properly considered.
M.C.S Pipework Services Ltd are aware that everyone is responsible for their own safety and should point out any potential hazards during the design, manufacture and installation of pipework. In-house seminars are provided for all professional and technical staff to ensure that all relevant staff are aware of the CDM Regulations and design related Health & Safety issues. All Subcontractors, staff and Directors carry a CSCS card with knowledge being further enhanced and updated by means of Continued Professional Development whereby key personnel attend external seminars related to Health and Safety matters.
