Purpose of the Transit Development Plan
•Florida Statute requires that Miami-Dade Transit prepare a Transit Development Plan (TDP) to qualify for the State Public Transit Grant Program.
•A TDP Major Update is completed every five years and updated annually. – For 2014, Miami-Dade Transit’s TDP is a Major Update
•Serves as MDT’s strategic development, and operational guidance document for a 10-year planning horizon.
•The TDP is coordinated with other county plans and stakeholder input is gathered for TDP development.
