Result of CISPR/H/WG2 and CISPR/A/WG2 meeting in Cape Town

A concept (CISPR/A/WG2(Battermann/ Dunker) for for the estimation the conducting coupling by the AC-mains was presented in CISPR/H/WG2 and CISPR/A/WG2

This concept of the conducting coupling takes into account the characteristics of the AC-mains which have different attenuation for symmetrical and asymmetrical disturbance emissions.

The concept deviates from the old CISPR/A/Sec)67; July 1985

CISPR/H/WG2 is interested in this measurement procedure and its results for the weighting of limit on mains

CISPR/A/WG2 decided to prepare a draft CD for the measurement equipment and the measurement procedure and to involve CISPR/WG3 in this topic

Concept of the mains decoupling factor

The mains decoupling factor [dB] is defined for the measurement of:

U0 measured on the test site

U1 measured at the antenna’s feed-point

Concept of the “coupling loss” The coupling loss of the mains [dB] is the transfer function

between two point in a network without constant impedance which can be measured by the disturbance current.

voltage) Handling of disturbance source and radio dummy (e. g.

distance to the environment,…) Measurement of the voltage at the antenna feet-point (mains

decoupling) or the currents (coupling loss) Calculate the wanted values: mains decoupling or coupling

Action in CISPR/A/WG2

Discussion of the draft CD during the midterm meeting in Frankfurt and decision for further actions

It is expected that the CD is basically accepted and this CD is published short after the meeting.

The next discussion in CISPR/A could be at the meeting in Sweden.

Any comments / cooperation from / with CISPR/I/WG3 are / is welcome.
