The following guidelines are enforced by law to ensure worker safety: lower waste wood from upper storey frames safely to prevent harming passersby with dropping lumber collect waste wood to prevent tripping hazards remove waste wood nails to prevent puncturing wounds deposit waste wood in recycle bins to prevent tripping trap or wet sawdust in cutting station containers to prevent inhalation and unwanted debris erect temporary railings on stairs and across low window openings to prevent people from falling I recognize that implementing these regulations may hinder efficiency, but worker safety is our utmost priority. Thank you for your help with this matter.

Mech 226 Exercise 4.5

Hey Dave,

As I mentioned to you earlier, your crew should adhere more closely to the WorkSafe BC regulations. The following guidelines are enforced by law to ensure worker safety:

lower waste wood from upper storey frames safely to prevent harming passersby with dropping lumber

collect waste wood to prevent tripping hazards remove waste wood nails to prevent puncturing wounds deposit waste wood in recycle bins to prevent tripping trap or wet sawdust in cutting station containers to prevent inhalation and unwanted debris erect temporary railings on stairs and across low window openings to prevent people from

falling

I recognize that implementing these regulations may hinder efficiency, but worker safety is our utmost priority. Thank you for your help with this matter.
