BOARD OF DIRECTOR :Shri A.K. Tyagi : Chairman cum Managing Director

Shri Ashok Kumar Tyagi has taken charge as Chairman cum Managing Director of MECON Limited on 01.08.2013. Born on 25th September, 1956, Shri Ashok Kumar Tyagi did his B.E. (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Maulana Azad College of Technology (now MANIT), Bhopal in 1977. He joined MECON on 22nd May, 1978. Shri Tyagi also did a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management with AIIMA in 1988. He holds 0.0003% share of the company .

Shri Syedain Abbasi, IAS : Director MECON & Joint Secretary of Steel, Govt. of India

Shri Syedain Abbasi, an IAS officer of Assam Meghalaya Cadre, is a post graduate in History. During his rich and variedexperience as an IAS officer, he has held various administrative positions in the areas of Land, Revenue, Agriculture andCooperative Agriculture, Communication and Information Technology before his Central deputation w.e.f. 21.09.2012 for a period of 5 years and he holds 0.0003% of the share of the company .

Shri Deepak Dutta : Director (Commercial)

Shri Deepak Dutta has taken over the charge of Director (Commercial) on 04.02.2014. Born on 29th October, 1956, Shri Dutta did B.E. in Mechanical from Jabalpur University in 1977. He Joined MECON Limited on 16.05.1978. Shri Dutta did M.E. in Mechanical in the year 1990 from BITMesra and Advanced Diploma in Management from IGNOU, New Delhi in1998.

Shri SR Sengupta : Director (Technology)

Shri S.R. Sengupta, has taken over the charge of Director (Technology) on 01.11.2014. Shri Sengupta, a Mechanical Engineer of 1978 Batch from B.E. College, Shibpur, has served efficiently in different areas of Power Plants & Steel Plants of CESC Ltd. & SAIL since 1978. He has proficiently managed project management services of various projects undertakenby MECON Limited along with design & engineering of equipment used in chemical plants, oil refineries & coke oven batteries. During his tenure as General Manager, MECON Vizag, he gave a boost to the various projects being handled by MECON Limited for Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Vizag. Shri Sengupta has authored several technical papers and has visited many countries.

Shri Sisir Kumar Appikatla : Director MECON

Shri Sisir Kumar Appikatla, born on 01.01.1967, passed out Chartered Accountancy in the year 1993 is also a graduate from Berhampur University in Physics (Hons.). He is a practising C.A. for the last 22 years. He has been providing management consultancy services in the area of NPA resolution for about 15 banks, both PSU & private sector Banks and other financial Institutions. He has also handled mergers and acquisitions, Sale of Business, Equity Investments for few Corporates in different Sectors. He has also carried out Loss Assessment for all the four PSU's general Insurance companies in very special cases like Bankers Indemnity policies, loss of profit claims and several large fire claim which require investigation and and forensic audit. Apart from above, Shri Appikatla also carried out Central Statutory Audit, Branch Audit, Revenue Audit for various PSU's and private sector Banks.

Shri Subir Chattopadhyay : Director (project)

Shri Subir Chattopadhyay has taken over the charge of Director (Project) on 01.05.2012. Born on 14th August, 1957, Shri Chattopadhyay did B.E. in Mechanical from Calcutta University in 1978. He Joined MECON Limited on 12.05.1979. Shri Chattopadhyay did Cost & Management Accountancy from the Institute of Cost and Works Accounts of India, Kolkata in 1986. He also did his Advanced Diploma in Management Accountancy.

Smt. Bharathi S. Sihag, IAS : Director MECON & Addl. Secretarty and Financial

Smt. Bharathi Sivaswami Sihag, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Himachal Pradesh Cadre, is a Post Graduate and M.Phil in History from Delhi University. She also has an M.Phil. Degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA in Development Studies. During her rich and varied experience as an IAS officer, she has held various administrative positions in the areas of Revenue Management & District Administration, Industries, Energy, Science & Technology, Environment & Forest, Home, Agriculture, Urban Development, etc. in the State Government and in the Ministries of Rural Development, Commerce & Industry, Information & Broadcasting, etc. in the Central Government. Prior to joining as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Steel on 12th March, 2015, she was Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
