In what ways does your media product use, develop

or challenge forms and conventions of real media

products?

We looked at different music videos from different genres. Each genre of music has

different conventions, our genre of pop and dance music has specific conventions we

have to analyse before filming

The typical conventions that were found were fast cuts and close ups used a lot. With our music video being so energetic, the fast cuts were necessary for this to work and give the

impression and atmosphere of this off.

We went against the typical ‘glamour’ and went for a completely different

boxing style.

Fast dance music is used in boxing gyms for the motivation and

encouragement

Breaking away from this convention of glamour was hard to imagine at first as this is the convention everyone expects to see, though our music video has had

great feedback

Very plain and simple costume The same jumper is involved, the young boy received the jumper a long time ago which has grew up with him

and in his fight which he wins it actually fits him

it isn’t the typical glamour you would expect
