Heavy but simple font, shows that by now ELO are well known and that the words themselves can portray their selling point that the cover is designed to achieve a nostalgic value and make the fans buy the CD rather than to generate more of a reputation or fan base. The cover is simple and contains the ELO trademark symbol which consists of the coloured disc with their acronym in the middle. This allows for fans to instantaneously recognise the group and adds marketing attraction for their target audience of a nostalgic audience.Front Cover

Inside

The inside of the digipak contains much the same theme from before, the trademark symbol is giving a mystical look as is ELO’s usual theme, the song titles are done in a smaller version of the covers font to promote consistency and give a professional and well made feel to the album, almost as if it’s a display or award which may be a theme because of the ‘best of’ take on the CD.The disc itself is one of the groups trademarks and is the 60’s styled font of their acronym and has been seen in use for many years, it has a retro feel to it and may help get the nostalgic twinge they seem to be aiming for.

Front cover

Meatloaf have always used the theme of combining the elements of rock music culture with the fantasy setting to create a blend of covers which people have come to recognise, such as this one in which the motorbike is given a heavy metal theme but also in that its put into a hellish environment with supernatural and fantasy settings brought to into it such as the large winged demon in the background. The colour usage of red can help the death metal of the rock genre by its connotation to hell and which the metal culture seems to follow. The font is used in the same style that Meatloaf has used for many years and the other font is plain and simple to contrast with the image.

Inside

The inside cover is similar to the outside, the motorbike has been carried over and the theme of a clashing rock metal and the fantasy genre are still present, the disc itself has the image of the background to keep the image constant, the titles themselves are in small white font which aren’t designed to be overtly noticeable instead pulling the focus onto the design of the disc and background.
