Mise En Scene. In the music video, the mise en scene connotes only happy feelings. It mainly used one background which is the dark background which is counter stereotypical in terms of how usual pop music are displayed however there are lots of glowing. The darkness contrasts with the costumes of the individuals as they all seem to be wearing black/silver so they’re catching the attention of the audience. The image below shows how the performers stand out even though what they’re wearing is very dark. The helmets on the two musicians head are also examples of how props are use to show how the music video is very untraditional in terms of usual concepts in a pop music video. Finally, the individuals within the music videos performance is very happy and the movements relate to the lyrics that are being sung.

Camera Work. The camera work in daft punk’s get lucky music video seems very basic. Not much camera is needed in this music video because there is no real story that is being told. Throughout the music video, close ups occur of every individual that is seen in the video. The most noticeable are the close ups of singer Pharrell and musician Nile Rodgers as you could see their facial expressions. The close ups also show performance and visual representations of the lyrics in the song. There are also long takes during the chorus of the song in addition to the crab movement which only really occurs during the chorus as well. In addition to having the focus on the individuals on screen, the props also get a lot of focuses with a wide range of mid shots and close ups of the musical instruments that are used. An example is below.

Editing. The editing in daft punks music video is very smooth. They use on the beat editing through out the whole sequence to make the edits smooth and flow very well. By doing this the audience doesn’t lose focus as it would look natural. Continuity editing is used throughout as well as it makes it look like the music video is very simple and is filmed within five minutes with no obvious cuts as the clip the music video always cuts back to is of the whole group singing. Furthermore, it seems as if there is a glow effect that is added to everyone's costume and props so they stand out in contrast to the dark low key lighting background.
