. My idea started from the camera shots/ testing that I put together in the summerwhich inspired me from the multiple shots of organic and oral focuses within thelm captured in a right sunny location !1".

. #rom this I then re$isited oral photography !2%4" that I had ta&en o$er the lastcouple of years where I found that ha$ing the ower as a central focus in thephotograph really made an impact and graed the $iewers eye. #rom research intoalum co$ers I also disco$ered that an alum co$ers purpose is to gra the $iewerseye either through colours' a statement image or a uni(ue concept to its design.)fter nding this out I then wanted to ta&e on all three of those aspects to create aneye catching digipa& with a natural oral theme.

. *hoosing the statement image was the ne+t step I too& to creating an eye catchingdigipa&. ,ere I made sure there was a range of colours and depth to generateinterest from the $iewer. I loo&ed at a range of photographs !5%- and image 3" that Ihad ta&en efore settling on image - as the chosen alum co$er image. I choosethis image as although the other owers were ust as interesting to loo& at thechosen image was oth interesting in the oral foreground and shadowed

ac&ground. )dditionally I had in$estigated this ower photograph in my #ine )rtstudies and found it had a nice $ariety of rich and $irant colours that harmoniouslywent together generating a colour pallet that I could use across the digipa&.

. )s there is usually two of the oect in a reection this made me thin& of the artisticdoule e+posed photography style where there are 2 images or outlines layered tocreate an interesting photo manipulation that often has a faded or lurred loo& wherethe images are comined. 8his was something I wanted to capture for my digipa& andtherefore tried it out on the alum co$er ac&ground !Image 14" which is also areection from the woodland photograph across the inside of the digipa&. In order togenerate this style I made a faded layer of the reected woodland picture o$er acream ac&ground to gi$e my own approach to the doule e+posed photo style whicht well with my digipa&. !Image 11 is the faded eect I wanted images 12 and 13 are

e+isting alum co$ers with the eect as its graing focus.

. )fter I came up with the ac&ground I then did some further research into e+istingalum co$ers ut also in some print media oo&s where I come across two inspiringimages !15 ; 1".

1.8o create a harmonious coloured digipa& I too& out some &ey colours from the mainphotograph to create a colour pallet for the rest of the digipa& to follow !22".

2. )s I wanted my digipa& to ha$e a feminine feel not only in the colours and imageryut in the fonts. 8his lead to research into some e+isting female artist alums wheremany including )riana >randes yours truly alum !22" featured oined up handwrittenstyle fonts gi$ing it a famine feel.

3. 8hese three fonts !24" including a selection of others were considered for the and

name efore I settled on the ottom one ecause of the slanted style which captureda similar to my own hand writing allowing me to ring a personal touch into the co$erdesign.
