Our Promise

The advantage radio advertising offers your business comes from our unique combination of area coverage,

high target-ability, and low cost. When combined with traditional direct marketers and broadcast direct-

many of our clients - the main engine of growth and profitability for a business.

The fundamental advertising is reaching the right people at the right time with the right message at the

right cost and is more possible with radio than with TV or print! As a result, your dollars spent on radio

advertising are more efficient, generating a greater return on investment.

We understand that mar-

keting 's ultimate function

is to drive revenue, and we

partner with our cl ients to

ensure that everything we

do is designed to meet that

objective. We are smart,

energetic , respected, hard-

working, committed and

different. We welcome an

opportunity to show you

why that matters.

The Surf can help you effectively promote and market your company's

offerings with a full range of professional advertising, marketing and

media services. Unlike most, we focus almost exclusively on the

advertising needs of small businesses—whether they’re startups or

existing companies wishing to take their company to the next level. We

have years of experience marketing and promoting small businesses

with creative and cost-effective advertising plans.

“Your success is our purpose”

“Tell us where you want your business to go, and we'll help take you there.”

Sometimes you need to define new marketing directions, introduce new products or

boost sales. High-quality sales, advertising and communications tools are tangible

ways to achieve those goals. To support your business growth 94.9 The Surf offers

strategic marketing support that (1) is specific to your industry and company and (2)

"No other medium - electronic or

otherwise - can claim as many

weekly consumers as radio does.

[Even with the] onslaught of

competing entertainment... the

average radio consumer spends

more than 19 hours listening to

the radio every week." ¹

SOS (Society of Stranders) provides a means to guide shag dancing & the lifestyle that sur-

rounds it into the future while keeping in touch with the past that gave birth to this phenome-

non. SOS strives to perpetuate the dance, music and culture that make up the shag. They pro-

vide a framework for discussing, planning & implementing activities at the beach for all Strand-

ers to enjoy. This includes providing information for communication between shaggers, lounges,

dance clubs, & associated organizations for the purpose of enhancing the shag experience.

94.9 The Surf is the official Radio Station of the SOS! The SOS listeners interact on a daily basis

with 94.9 The Surf through www. 949thesurf.com. The Internet listeners request their favorite

Beach Music and plan their visits around our Advertisers and Events.

Just ask our clients…

We are often asked this year, why 94.9 The Surf was not nominated for “Radio

Station of the Year” in 2012. We have won this coveted award a record

12 times! In 2011, the CBMA inducted 94.9 The Surf into the Hall of Fame.

None of our awards – or the broadcasting we do every day – would be possible

without your support. Whether you’re a donor, a volunteer, or a listener, we

share each and every one of our awards with you.

What sells on Radio?

Radio buyers purchase a wide variety and growing number of

products, ranging from vitamins to home décor. Buyers often

are prompted towards CD's/music, health and beauty items

such as hair care, skin care, and weight loss/diet products.

Other radio advertising categories include household cleaning

products, kitchen and cookware products, financial, family

activities and travel offerings. We've also seen a growing

trend toward using radio advertising to drive online traffic as

well as big support to retail sales.
