In addition to lovely cardstock and eye-catching patterned paper, consider including one of these fun options into your design: vellum, handmade, serendipity, mulberry or watercolor.
Valentine’s Day Feature: Say I love you all year long with paper hearts and flowers that are punched, die cut, handmade or even included in patterned paper designs! Add stamping to make your design complete. Use shades of blush pink mixed with touches of cream, chocolate brown and hints of green.

Coloring is all the rage whether you’re creating cards or just coloring for relaxation! This issue will feature cards created and colored with an exciting assortment of coloring products. What’s your favorite coloring medium for cards? We encourage you to really play up the technique you use to create your most outstanding, colored card! We’re looking for cards colored with ink pads and refills, markers, colored pencils, watercolors, crayons, paint or all kinds! Be sure to include helpful tips for using the products you select!

Experimenting with new mediums can lead to wonderful discoveries in card making! However, this process can be intimidating. Let’s step outside the box and show CardMaker readers the wonderful and exciting designs they can create with products like stencils and texture paste, paint and embossing folders, ink and sprays! The options for creativity are endless Keep in mind, this may be uncharted territory for some readers, so keep your designs simple and demonstrate techniques in an easy-to-understand manner.
