The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation -- a private, non-profit organization -- signed on for payroll, benefits, HR, talent, and time and labor management as part of its flexible deployment of ADP’s HCM solution. The organization currently operates offices in 15 U.S. cities across nine states. Michelle Lutz, manager of HRMS and Recruitment, said her organization was drawn to ADP due to its focus on service expertise and technology deployment. “The previous system needed to be re-evaluated regularly from the perspectives of data integrity and end-user experience,” said Lutz. “Now, we have confidence in the system, and in the people working with us at ADP. Our productivity has improved as well.” “We’re pleased that an organization as impactful as the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is trusting us with this most critical role – a role that helps their people help other people in need,” said Mark Benjamin, President of Global Enterprise Solutions at ADP. “I’m delighted that, once again, a client of this stature has chosen our service expertise and proven technology in human capital management to help drive their success.” Lutz said the organization’s search for an improved system began with a realization that human capital management – an integrated solution versus a collection of individual services – could help the organization in its mission to be a force of healing and hope for individuals, families and communities affected by addiction to alcohol and other drugs. “The more we looked, the more it seemed logical to pursue a human capital management solution,” she said. “We went from being a small organization to one that embraces growth. We needed to engineer our human resources to be aligned with that goal.” The organization’s latest sign of growth came last February, when the Hazelden® Foundation and the Betty Ford Center® formally merged their operations, becoming the largest nonprofit addiction treatment provider in the United States and one of the largest in the world. “Once we decided on where we needed to go, it became pretty simple to decide we wanted ADP on the journey with us,” Lutz said. “Their expertise in human capital management – especially taxes and compliance – will benefit our organization today and support our growth in the future. Lutz said ADP’s attention to service also proved valuable to the organization. “Our strategic client partner at ADP is someone I can always call with questions or areas we need addressed,” she said. Lutz said that there has been positive feedback to the new employee management system. “Our processes are tighter and we’re much more efficient – our people are seeing that,” she said. “As an HR practitioner, that feels good. Now, our organization can focus on the strategic issues involving our people and our growth, leaving these human capital management initiatives in the hands of ADP.” The ADP Logo and ADP are registered trademarks of ADP, LLC. ©2015 ADP, LLC. American Orgaisation Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation Finds Supportive Partner in ADP for Human Capital Management Upgrade to Benefit 1,500 Employees

October 28, 2014 - Roseland, NJ

Operating in 15 U.S. Cities Across Nine States, the Organization Re-Focuses on Employees to Help Improve Their Ability to Spur Client Recoveries from the Disease of Addiction

ADP®, a leading global provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced that the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation -- an organization that has grown from a Minnesota farmhouse in 1949 to one of the world’s largest addiction treatment providers -- has successfully implemented an integrated HCM solution from ADP.

Our productivity has improved as well.”

“We’re pleased that an organization as impactful as the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is trusting us with this most critical role – a role that helps their people help other people in need,” said Mark Benjamin, President of Global Enterprise Solutions at ADP. “I’m delighted that, once again, a client of this stature has chosen our service expertise and proven technology in human capital management to help drive their success.”

Lutz said the organization’s search for an improved system began with a realization that human capital management – an integrated solution versus a collection of individual services – could help the organization in its mission to be a force of healing and hope for individuals, families and communities affected by addiction to alcohol and other drugs.

“The more we looked, the more it seemed logical to pursue a human capital management solution,” she said. “We went from being a small organization to one that embraces growth. We needed to engineer our human resources to be aligned with that goal.”

The organization’s latest sign of growth came last February, when the Hazelden® Foundation and the Betty Ford Center® formally merged their operations, becoming the largest nonprofit addiction treatment provider in the United States and one of the largest in the world.

Now, our organization can focus on the strategic issues involving our people and our growth, leaving these human capital management initiatives in the hands of ADP.”
